Osher LLI at FAU Presents Douglas Brinkley
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at 红玫瑰社区 in Jupiter听 will present a lecture by Douglas Brinkley, CNN presidential historian and author, on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute complex at FAU鈥檚 John D. MacArthur Campus, 5353 Parkside Dr., in Jupiter.
Brinkley鈥檚 lecture, 鈥淎n Evening with Douglas Brinkley,鈥 will address his latest book, 鈥淎merican Moonshot: John F. Kennedy and the Great Space Race.鈥澨 As the 50thanniversary of the first lunar landing approaches, Brinkley takes a new look at the space program, former U.S. President John F. Kennedy鈥檚 inspiring challenge, and America鈥檚 race to the moon.
Brinkley is the Katherine Tsanoff Brown Chair in Humanities and professor of history at Rice University, the CNN presidential historian, a contributing editor at听 Vanity Fair 听and a 听New York Times 听best-selling author.
