FAU Appoints New Ethics Commissioner

, executive director of the Public Ethics Academy in the School of Public Administration within the College for Design and Social Inquiry, was appointed by to the Palm Beach County Commission on Ethics for a four-year term.听

The mission of the Palm Beach County Commission on Ethics is to foster integrity in public services, to promote the public鈥檚 trust and confidence in that service, and to prevent conflicts between private interests and public duties.

鈥淐ruise has extensive experience in the field of ethics and public administration, and is well qualified to serve on the Commission,鈥 said Kelly.

An accomplished scholar, he has authored and co-authored dozens of articles in peer-reviewed journals on the topics of ethics and organizational studies. This is in addition to his time as a tenured faculty member who has taught and conducted research in the field of ethics.

Cruise served for more than 12 years as a health and human services manager. He also has served on the editorial board of the Global Virtue Ethics Review, the Journal of Health and Human Services Administration, and the Jossey-Bass/John Wiley Health Care Management Book Series.听
