Real Estate Connect Conference Draws Industry Stakeholders

红玫瑰社区鈥檚 recently hosted its first-ever , which drew industry stakeholders from around the country to discuss the outlook for various markets in the United States and across the globe.
鈥淚 think it was really interesting, and I personally learned a lot,鈥 said , chief investment strategist with CenterSquare Investment Management, based in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. Crowe presented on 鈥淕lobal Public Real Estate Markets鈥 at the conference. 鈥淲e covered a wide array of topics in a very insightful way,鈥 Crowe continued. 鈥淚 don鈥檛 see any reason why FAU can鈥檛 become a center of real estate excellence, given the horsepower that鈥檚 behind it.鈥
John Crossman, CEO of , one of the Southeast鈥檚 largest retail leasing, management and investment sales firms, spoke about 鈥淭he Future of Retail.鈥 Crossman said he saw a strong sense of community at the event in terms of relationship building, problem-solving and the research being done at FAU to serve the community, the industry and its students.
鈥淲e had a great lineup of speakers and a very strong showing from the commercial real estate community here in the local market, which is what you need,鈥 said Crossman, who is based in Orlando. 鈥淚t really came together well.鈥
The conference was sponsored by Crossman & Company and The Anderson Family. Randy I. Anderson, Ph.D., president of Los Angeles-headquartered Asset Management Company, recently joined the faculty at FAU鈥檚 as the dean鈥檚 adjunct professor of real estate capital markets. 聽
鈥淔AU has done a really nice job putting together a world-class real estate faculty, and they鈥檙e in a community that鈥檚 engaged in real estate at the very highest level,鈥 said Anderson, whose 鈥淓conomic and Real Estate Market Outlook鈥 presentation opened the event. 鈥淚 think this conference is the start of a bridge to bring together that academic excellence with the real estate community.鈥澛
, a partner at Baker McKenzie, gave a presentation on 鈥淥pportunity Zones Investment Opportunities鈥 at the conference.
It was a privilege to join such an accomplished group of experts at FAU鈥檚 inaugural Real Estate Connect Conference,鈥 Cullen said. 鈥淭he program is off to a great start.鈥
, Ph.D., a real estate economist in and one of the creators of the , closed the day鈥檚 presentations with an update on the local and national housing markets.
鈥淭his is the kind of information and knowledge that FAU wants to provide to real estate decision makers 鈥 consumers, professionals and policy makers,鈥 Johnson said.聽 鈥淔AU will become a recognized center of real estate expertise.鈥
